irish dance.
If you are interested in design and embroidery for your Irish dress or vest, I can help! I do not sew the dress so you will have to find your own dressmaker that is approved by your school and willing to work with me.
Timing is not an exact science. On a good week I can finish a dress in 2-3 days from receipt of dress pattern pieces. But in reality things don’t always run so smoothly so 1-6 weeks is not uncommon (depending on how many I have going on at one time). It can really depend on how many times I have to begin and stop the design & digitizing process (if I’m re-doing a design 5-10Xs that will cause delays).
I will work on the dress as I receive them. I know this may have a lot to do with the your seamstress (note: dressmakers need be approved by dance school) and their timing. So if you contacted me first that may not mean I work on your dress first. The seamstress has to organize their schedule and order fabrics/supplies to meet your needs and that may cause a unexpected delays (especially if fabrics come in wrong, etc.. number or ways to slow down an order).
I can give you a few scribbles of ideas ahead of time but I officially begin the design/digitizing work once I get those pattern pieces.
Prices range from $150-500. Lately I’ve been around the $200-350 range. (plus 8% sales tax in Ohio). I will not start until I receive a 50% deposit including a $50 non refundable deposit. Once the embroidery is finished I will require payment upon delivery. (note this is not a finished dress). Cash, check, visa, MC, AMEX accepted.
There are no refunds. If you need a re-do or change your mind with the final product I will determine an additional price if any.
I will email you all artwork for your final approval before I embroidery.
I will never directly copy another dress design. Your design may be influenced by many factors. No two dresses will be the same. If you hand me a sketch of exactly what you want me to do, I will do it as long as you sign a waiver stating that you are liable for any copyright issues.
